At GCPT, we emphasize not only providing the necessary equipment and facilities for sports but also instilling values of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. We encourage students to be respectful to opponents and officials, and to demonstrate grace in both victory and defeat. Our definition of sport includes organized, competitive, and skillful physical activities that require commitment and integrity, governed by a set of rules or customs.
Facilities and Events
Understanding the evolving nature of sports, which now includes a strong focus on mental and psychological aspects, we offer excellent indoor sports facilities and expansive playgrounds and courts for outdoor games. Each year, we organize various sports events where students can participate in activities such as sprinting, long jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put, cricket, football, table tennis, volleyball, and more. We also arrange friendly matches, including football games between different departments and even between students and staff members.
Encouraging Broader Participation
In addition to our in-house events, we actively encourage our students to participate in state and national-level sports competitions. This not only promotes physical fitness but also provides a platform for those keen on engaging in physical or mental sports activities to showcase their talents and pursue their interests.
