Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy at Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology (GCPT), Krishnanagar, is a four-year undergraduate professional programme designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in pharmaceutical sciences. The programme aims to develop competent pharmacy professionals with strong technical, scientific, ethical, and communication skills. Graduates can pursue careers in pharmaceutical industries, hospitals, community pharmacy, quality control, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, research and development, clinical research, academics, and government services, as well as pursue higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or Ph.D. GCPT focuses on quality education, practical learning, skill development, research orientation, and career readiness, preparing students to contribute effectively to the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, /Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects individually. However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class rooms-based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling, open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm Course. The candidate will have to qualify at the WBJEE, on the year of admission, or JEE (Main) for B. Pharm admission.

A candidate who has passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act 1948.
General Category: Minimum 45% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) in D.Pharm.
SC / ST / OBC -A/ OBC -B/ PwD : Minimum 40% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) in D.Pharm .
Candidates must qualify the Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) conducted by the WBJEEB for admission to the 2nd year (3rd semester) of the B.Pharm programme.
