Masters of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pharmacology

Duration and Structure

The M. Pharm in Pharmacology at Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology (GCPT), affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, is an intensive 2-year program divided into 4 semesters. This course is meticulously designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills in pharmacology, preparing graduates for senior roles in pharmaceutical research and development.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the M. Pharm in Pharmacology program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree:Completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognized institute or university, accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
  • Provisional Eligibility:Final-year B.Pharm students can apply on a provisional basis.
  • Academic Performance:A minimum aggregate score of 50% in the undergraduate degree is required for admission.

Admission Requirements

Applicants can strengthen their application by submitting scores from one or more of the following entrance exams:

  • WBUT PGET:West Bengal University of Technology Postgraduate Entrance Test
  • GPAT:Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test
  • CEE AMPAI Masters:Common Entrance Examination for Admission to Postgraduate Programs in Allied Health Sciences
  • GATE:Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

    Scope is also there for working in pharmaceutical market research companies, clinical trial or patent offices, pharmacy consulting, drug research, regulatory affairs, or pharmacovigilance.
